I ran my first race last weekend and won my age category

My running times are slower than they used to be but, I ran my first race last weekend (a Vets cross country race) and won my age category. It was more a reflection on being 10 days into the over 50s and there only being about 15 people in that category than of my running prowess, but I was still chuffed. The real pleasure was just to be able to run in a race again, which for a long time I thought I would never do. I owe James and Rob for that – without you, I wouldn’t have made it back.
