Our team includes a network of sports physicians and physiotherapists to suit your treatment requirements. The CHHP team also work closely with an expert surgical referral network, and also offer external and in house pain management options, physiotherapy, osteopathy and radiology referrals where required.

Surgical referral network

Our team of clinicians at CHHP have long standing relationships with a number of local spinal consultants when second opinions and surgical views may be desired to offer the best possible best treatment options.

Whilst one aim of Sport and Exercise medicine is to avoid surgery through specific treatment,  we are also offer a range of services including Injections.
Dr. Loosemore MBE can also use MAST (Modic antibiotic spinal treatment) which uses antibiotics to treat chronic low back pain. Read more about the research that led to this type of therapy.

Physiotherapy & Spinal rehabilitation:

The team of spinal clinicians at CHHP have a broad wealth of experience dealing with simple to complex spinal cases across a spectrum of everyday public to elite athletes.
The spinal management at CHHP is bespoke and tailored to suit the patient as an individual.  Although the team utilise specific treatments, protocols and pathways around spinal conditions; every patient is unique and therefore the assessment and management process is too.
Treatment options include manual therapy, strength and conditioning, specific rehabilitation classes and IMS to name just a few.

What to expect?

Often patients that we see at CHHP may have had a number of opinions and or previous courses of treatment.  Therefore, we know how important it is to pay attention to detail and we adopt an honest ethos with all of our patients.  You will receive a thorough consultation on your first visit.  This involves initially sitting down and having a detailed discussion with your clinician, and then you will be assessed in order to help decide the optimum management plan for your spine.  This can often involve integrating with other specialists outside of CHHP.

Radiology referral

The consultants and physicians at CHHP can help with organising your specific radiology requirements depending on your spinal condition.  Although not always essential, specific scans; such as MRIs will often help form an integral part of the management plan at CHHP.
