Professor Andy Lane is a BASES (British Association of Sport and Exercise Sciences) accredited sport and exercise scientist, a Professor of Sport Psychology and Chartered Psychologist with the British Psychological Society. Prof Lane is also registered with the Health Professionals Council.
Andy has over 20 years worth of experience specializing in applied sport psychology, emotions, achieving goals and self-regulation. He has edited two books and authored over 200 peer refereed journal articles. Andy also specializes in areas such as planning, recovery and how focus can help and relieve both physical and emotional stress. Andy has worked with many individuals from enthusiasts to Elite athletes, including athletes from the English Institute of Sport and the London Boxing Association in preparation for World Championship competitions.
Andy’s clinical passion lies in investigating emotion regulation in sport and other settings. His applied work has involved a number of clients including the English Institute of Sport and the London Boxing Association working with athletes preparing for World Championship contests. At CHHP Andy helps all patients and clients work towards goals and overcome barriers in performance and sport.
When he’s not in clinic you’ll find Andy relaxing with his family, lecturing or completing his regular park run!
