Doug is a registered Osteopath working as part of the CHHP team, with a particular interest in spinal dysfunction, biomechanics, pain science, injury prevention and rehabilitation. He combines his keen interest of biomechanics and body movement with a holistic approach true to the osteopathic philosophy of treating the body as a whole. Doug is also the clinical manager of the BXR powered by CHHP Clinic. He has over a decade of experience in the health and fitness industry and also works as a Strength and Conditioning and rehabilitation coach.
Doug graduated in Sports and Exercise Sciences from the University of Birmingham and went on to gain his personal training qualification from the American College of Sports Medicine. He also has a Masters in Osteopathy and is a fully registered osteopath, qualifying from the British School of Osteopathy in London, one of the leading osteopathic institutions in Europe. Doug is also a qualified C.H.E.K (Corrective Holistic Exercise Kinesiologist).
Prior to working at CHHP Doug was Head Physiologist at Nuffield Health in London where he was subject to intense clinical training to provide extensive health screening and lifestyle coaching, as well as working with nutritionists, physiotherapists and Doctors. Doug has also worked in a private practice as an Osteopath, Strength and Conditioning Coach and a Rehabilitation Coach.
Doug is also a regular lecturer and has led numerous seminars and workshops on various health and fitness related topics. Due to his diverse skill set, Doug’s clients/patients range from high performance athletes to those recovering from musculoskeletal and serious pathologies. He has worked with a wide range of athletes and fitness enthusiasts from all walks of life.
When he’s not in the clinic, you’ll find Doug training clients in the gym and keeping them injury free!
